Vermunt exploration shaft
Underground Mining Power station construction
Exploration shaft for the PSKW Obervermunt
For project studies in the vicinity of Silvretta-Vermunt, an exploration shaft of approx. 370 m in length was driven into the mountain for geological, hydrogeological and mechanical exploration purposes. The tunnel has an 18% gradient and a cross-section of 13.6 square metres. Core drilling and experiments were undertaken in the interior after the tunnelling operations. The Vermunt exploration shaft was created out of the existing Krespa tunnel using falling blast tunnelling.
